We have successfully finished the first week of February! With this blizzard looming, I am staying focused on all things spring! So close, right?! Only 41 days! And with that, here is my weekly pinspiration, filled with cozy settings, pretty florals, bright pinks, vibrant greens and sparkling golds.
I also love the two quotes – they are very relevant to what’s happening in my life right now. This is my time to just “go and do.” More often than not, I overthink things, which tends to hold me back from doing what I want. I have finally learned that I need to stop worrying and just “go and do!” I also tend to put others first and try to do what will make them happy. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but in the past six months, I have learned that you can only do so much for people. Unfortunately, you can give your heart and soul to a person and receive nothing in return. You can spend all of your time and energy walking a very thin line – trying to do everything that person has asked of you and trying to give them as much of yourself as you can to make sure that person is happy. I have learned that as much as I care for others and want to make other people happy, there comes a point in time when I need to stop worrying about everyone else and how my actions will affect them and just start doing what’s best for me. It is important to take some time and do what’s best for you, because in the end, you need to take care of yourself first and foremost. So, I am finally taking this time to do what’s best for me and the first step is my new job, which I start in less than two weeks!
Happy Friday, everyone! Now “GO and DO!” And always remember to do what’s best for you!
Another weekly does of some visual inspiration! I have been drawn to arrows, tribal motifs and graphic geometric shapes all week. I am thinking of some projects where I can incorporate similar imagery. Typography also caught my eye, especially the bold brushstrokes in the Camus quote.
Yesterday, I finally went through my collection of images and tears from magazines and reorganized my mood board. It’s been the same for a while now and I felt like I needed a change. I just started pinning images up on my corkboard, seeing what worked together and what didn’t. I have a feeling my board is going to evolve over the next couple weeks, but here is the start:
Going through images
Love the lights and that dining room
Graphic black and white designs
More strong black and whites
Antlers and dreamcatcher
Sleek and chic
Emerald green. Love the cuffed jeans
I was drawn to graphic blacks and whites, emerald green, and natural forms.
Do you create visual moodboards? Where do you find your inspiration?
Another weekly roundup of what I’ve been inspired by on Pinterest this week! Blue and grey tones seem to tie my images together (possibly due to the freezing weather? I amfighting the winter blues!) and I was drawn to positive quotes about living passionately, curiously, and doing what makes you happy. And, of course, I have a few cozies added in there (I want that fur hat and shrug…its oh so chic!)!
Happy Friday, everyone! Today, I thought I’d give you a roundup of what has inspired me this past week on Pinterest (follow me here). As you can see, I have some reoccurring themes in my pins – lots of black and white, lots of neutral tones, things that glitter and and other funky details. Overall, I would say I was inspired by things that are classy, chic and downright fun! I especially love the Amy Poehler quote and the Audrey Hepburn (from “Funny Face”) iPhone case – I’d say they go hand in hand!
I’m so excited for this weekend! I’m taking my best friend to see the Gin Blossoms at the Stone Pony (yes, Bruce Springsteen) for her 25th birthday! We loved them when we were younger and they are our “down the shore” music in the summer, so I think it’s going to be a great way to kick off her 25th year (eeek! when did we get to be 25?!)
